According to some of the official reports claimed at the Facebook page, Xiaomi is expected to reduce the Redmi 2 Smartphone price by Rs.1000/-. Actually, the existing price of the Smartphone is Rs.6999/- and hence, you can buy the same at the rate of Rs.5999/- from tomorrow. It is deliberately written on the official Facebook fan page that, “Paint the town red. Get ready to change your phone". The picture in the message is also gives a hint about the slashed rates (Rs.5999) price tag.

Even though there are few distinctions between the ancestor and predecessor Redmi 1 & 2 devices, the original Redmi design makes them looks very similar externally.

It comes with the 4.7 inches IPS HD Display with better pixel density for the amazing visual experience at its best. Also, the processor of the Smartphone is said to be built with Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad Core instead of the ancestors Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad Core indeed. Perhaps the internal memory followed by the RAM remains similar to both devices, i.e. 8GB and 1GB respectively.

While coming to the camera perspective of the Smartphone, the new Redmi 2 was built with the same 8MP primary camera and certainly improved with the Selfie camera from 1.6MP to 2MP categorically. You can record full HD videos naturally at the rear camera and the HD video recording becomes possible with the Selfie Camera.


Yet, there is no Android Lollipop OS in the latest version Redmi Smartphone, and hence it follows the same Android Kitkat version software for the operating system requirements. Nevertheless, it is built with Xiaomi MiUi skin on top. Some of the other brilliant features of the Redmi 2 Smartphone is that, it is enabled with Dual SIM 4G slots along with the GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless facilities.
