As you know, every new software release from the search engine giant Google certainly makes huge hype accordingly. Yes, this time it is made with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system certainly. Yes, Android M 6.0 operating system will be released by next week globally and there are several mobile makers already up for the releasing of Android M to their eligible (flagship) mobiles accordingly. According to the official news, the Google Nexus will be the first mobile in the world to get released with Android M OS right out of the box. Apart from that, Motorola is also has a plan of releasing Android M straight away after the official Android M release.

It is very fortunate for the mobile owners of Motorola, as it is the first mobile maker to announce the strategy of releasing list of mobiles to get the Android M updates. Also, it is possessed with a disclaimer stating that, there might be delay in the list of mobiles listed for the Android M updates, perhaps some of them could miss the update in the future as well.

Motorola Nexus 6 – Updates directed from Google:

As the Motorola Nexus 6 is from a part of Google Nexus program, the Moto made Nexus 6 will be directly gets it Android M 6.0updates from Google. Interestingly, neither devices from the Moto E generation or the first generation of Moto G & Moto X is listed with the Android M updates. Though, Moto confirms that, these mobiles could be the too old for the updates, but the Moto E 2nd Generation device doesn’t made its way to the list of mobiles ready for the Android Marshmallow indeed.

Time Schedule for the Android M Updates:

Though Motorola officially released the list of mobiles eligible for the Android M updates, it doesn’t made any words about the exact date of releasing the updates to the list of eligible devices. However, it is stated that, the schedule for the release of Android M updates will be prepared in the upcoming weeks.


Moto Assist will be not being featured with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and even the Motorola Migrate won’t be available. Hence, the Motorola Connect will be available for the updates requirements through the Google Chrome extension services. Make the most of it, as the new Android M 6.0 is said to be built with minimal bloatware than its ancestors.
