Today, there was a shocking statistics released over the affected virus mobiles in India and the range is really higher than previous records. Yes, the latest virus program is none other than Ghost Push, where the number of devices get affected by this virus are 1.3 Million.

Ghost Push Hits Globally: Higher in India

The Ghost Push is an Android Virus which is not only targeted to India but it has also affected the global area. According to the official statistics, the Ghost Push Android virus affected over 1,44,199 mobiles globally, whilst India alone got 1.3 Million devices. The Cheatah mobile is one among the top verified Antivirus protection service providing App for Android mobiles, which is also the creator of the Clean Master & CM Security Apps. This is the world’s 4th largest trusted Antivirus mobile for Android, claimed that, it has discovered the malware on the above said numbers.

This particular malware is being distributed through non-Google app stores and has affected 14,846 types of phone and 3,658 brands globally. Quoting CM Security Research Lab, it said that the malware is the most widespread and infectious virus it's seen to date.

In the official press release made by Cheatah Mobile stated that, "Ghost Push installs unwanted applications like 'Monkey test' or 'Times service' on the device. These applications cannot be removed easily even by doing a factory reset or using normal antivirus software. The malware slows down the system, drains the battery and consumes large amounts of cellular data. Disguised as legitimate applications, Ghost Push can spread itself widely via commercial SDKs or browser ads,”

Apart from India, this Mobile Virus program is remarkably affected in Europe, Middle East Region, Russia followed by China as well. With regards to this virus programs, there are 39 other related virus programs were discovered by the Cheatah mobile in the recent times, which is highly supports the Ghost Push indeed.

After the right updates, even the Antivirus Apps like Clean Master and CM Security were also started to detect those Malware applications across Android platforms in India and globally as well. Interestingly, the new update from the CM security states that, it has come up with the way to remove the Ghost Push Malware!
